From script to share

Five steps. Every one of them can be done by hand.

Each step is a normal screen in the editor. An agent can do them for you, but nothing is locked behind one.

  1. 01

    Write the story

Paste your script. It stays exactly as you wrote it, word for word, all the way to the captions.

  2. 02

    Add a voice

Generate narration with your own Gemini key, or upload a recording or soundtrack you already have.

  3. 03

    Get timed captions

Whisper listens to the audio and every word gets its own time, so each one lights up as it is spoken.

  4. 04

    Build the journey

One scene per place. The real outline is found for you, the camera is framed, and stat cards appear on cue.

  5. 05

    Export and share

Render an MP4 in your browser in vertical or landscape, then queue it to your channels through Buffer.

What is inside

A small studio built around maps

Boundaries that are right

Type a place and the real outline is found, ranked against alternatives, and framed on the main landmass, so the Netherlands is not drawn across the Caribbean. Not the one you meant? Switch to another match, draw a circle, or paste your own shape.

Captions that follow the voice

The spoken word lights up as it is said. Pick a style, then adjust font, size, colors, outline, background plate and position.

Placebyplace,wordbyword

Cinematic camera

Pitch, bearing, orbit and flight speed per scene. Zoom stays consistent whether you export vertical or widescreen.

Stat cards and place chips

Small, timed cards for numbers and facts, with a country-flag place chip. Sized to the shape of your video.

Phone and desktop

The whole studio works on a phone, from scene editing to export, and does not make you give anything up on a laptop.

Bring your own agent

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can create the project, write the narration, time the captions and build the scenes through your personal access token. You review and export.

How agents connect →

Connect Buffer to add a finished video to your queue or set an exact time, for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and more, with title and post-type options for each network.

Captions

Seven looks, and every detail adjustable

Start from a preset, then tune it. The editor shows a live preview, and the exported video uses the very same drawing code, so what you see is what you get.

  • Highlight by color, box or underline
  • Eight fonts
  • Outline and shadow
  • Background plate
  • Words per line
  • Pop, fade or slide in
  • Position and width
  • Keep or reset spoken words

Karaoke

Bold white words, the spoken word turns yellow.

Pop box

The spoken word jumps into a colored box.

Karaoke fill

Words fill with color as they are spoken.

One word

One huge word at a time in the middle.

Minimal

Clean subtitles on a soft plate.

Cinema

Serif subtitles with an underline on the spoken word.

Autonomous, if you want it

Tell your agent where to go

Mapflyover has no built-in AI that writes your scenes. Instead it exposes a clean MCP server and a full reference of every scene option, so the assistant you already trust can build the video, and you stay in control of the result.

"Make a 60 second video about the Kenyan coast."

create_project → "Kenyan coast", 9:16
set_script → 140 words

align_captions → 12 timed captions
resolve_locations → 6 outlines found
save_scenes → 6 scenes, checks clean
set_caption_style → "tiktok"
get_preview_link → open, review, export

Questions

Good to know

Is the map real or AI-generated?

Real. Satellite imagery from Esri (or Mapbox with your own token) and real place outlines from OpenStreetMap. Nothing is invented.

Do I need an AI agent to use it?

No. Everything an agent can do, you can do by hand in the editor. The agent connection is optional and exists so you can hand the busywork to your own assistant.

Who pays for narration and captions?

You do, directly to Google and Groq, using your own keys. Both have free tiers. Mapflyover adds no markup and puts no limit on that usage.

What can I do on the Free plan?

Everything in the editor: scenes, boundaries, narration, captions, previews and project saving. The Free plan does not include MP4 export.

How are videos rendered?

In your browser, frame by frame, waiting for every map tile before each frame is saved. You can browse other parts of the editor while it runs. Keep the browser tab open.

Vertical or landscape?

Both from one project. Text, cards and captions resize to suit each shape, so a Short and a YouTube video look right.

Where will you take us?

Build the whole film for free. Export when you are ready.
